2977 Teknomak, along with its president Saruhan Sarioglu, will celebrate a 20-year friendship with the 3764 Ammann Group in 2011.

To further strengthen this position, a joint Ammann Teknomak company has been formed, headquartered in Ankara, from where it will provide and expand sales, marketing and after-sales activities for all Ammann products and services in Turkey.

According to Ammann, the Swiss family-owned group, the new approach will strengthen its position in Turkey while increasing the availability of services to customers.

The group says it has also become a “significant supplier” of compaction machines in Turkey due to its partnership with 2980 Cukurova Ziraat, the Ammann distributor in the country. “Ammann Teknomak has its own, experienced commissioning and service crew and is in a position to supply components such as bitumen tanks, filler silos and steel constructions,” says Ammann, which says that to date it has supplied more than 130 asphalt mixing plants to Turkey, with more than ten already on order for the current year.

Developments in asphalt plant technology are seeing major gains in energy efficiency and the use of RAP but some manufacturers are moving in different directions - Mike Woof writes. Asphalt Drum Mixers is offering its EX120 asphalt plant as a solution for producers needing a portable counterflow plant that can process high percentages of RAP. The plant features single-drum counterflow technology and is said to be compact, with a capacity of 120tonnes/hour, while the firm says that the machine meets all fede
