Sichuan targets roads

In China, Sichuan Province is placing a high value on road upgrades and improvements.

In China, Sichuan Province is placing a high value on road upgrades and improvements. The authorities in the province plan to complete a US$4.75 billion investment in road projects during 2010. This will be split between rural road projects and trunk road construction. During the year some 33,000km of rural roads will be constructed in Sichuan. The province will also upgrade 2,200km of trunk roads and rebuild 1,800km of damaged roads.
