Puerto Rico sets out road maintenance strategy

Puerto Rico's Department of Transport and Public Works (DTOP) is setting out a plan to road maintenance and improvement works.

1516 Puerto Rico's Department of Transport and Public Works (DTOP) is setting out a plan to road maintenance and improvement works. Some 24 roads will be upgraded across the island while a further 19 maintenance projects have been planned. This plan is part of a new phase in the DTOP's Road Maintenance and Improvement Plan. The works will see a total of US$500 million being spent on road upgrades.

    The Italian firm ANAS which manages much of the country’s network is setting out a major programme for road investment. In all €29.5 billion will be spent on upgrading Italian roads managed by ANAs over the next five years. This budget includes the €23.4 billion for new civil engineering work.
