Pakistan plans road rebuilds

The Pakistan Highway Rehabilitation Project is now moving forward in a programme that will see repairs and improvements to key sections of the country's road network.

The Pakistan Highway Rehabilitation Project is now moving forward in a programme that will see repairs and improvements to key sections of the country's road network. The 2332 World Bank is funding this programme to the tune of US$130 million in a 40 year financial package. The work planned will include resurfacing 342km of highways, upgrading 514km of highways and rebuilding 128km of damaged roads.
