Emergency road repairs for Bangladesh

The Bangladeshi authorities are looking to boost investment in road maintenance and repairs.

The Bangladeshi authorities are looking to boost investment in road maintenance and repairs. Some US$374.5 million has been identified as being required for the work. The maintenance and repair of some routes is described as critical. Transport workers have been striking in protest at the poor condition of the Dhaka-Tangail and Dhaka-Mymensingh highways.

    Instarmac’s Latvian partner, Delta Urban, has supplied reinstatement materials to assist with the rehabilitation of a number of roads and pavements throughout the centre of Riga. The project has been partly funded by the European Union and required hundreds of gullies and manholes to be repaired on some of Riga’s busiest roads. Delta Urban supplied the chosen contractors, Roakdeks and Parvalde, with UltraCrete M60 rapid strength bedding mortar and QC10 F rapid set flowable concrete for the repairs.
