Chile planning road repairs

Chile's Ministry of Public Works (MOP) will re-open highway concessions worth over US$1 billion shortly.

906 Chile's Ministry of Public Works (MOP) will re-open highway concessions worth over US$1 billion shortly. Amongst these will be new tenders for work to repair roads shattered by the recent earthquake, as well as projects that were halted. These last include the $200 million Coquimbo road network, the $189 million Iquique alternative road access scheme, the $304 million Concepcion-Cabrero highway and the $296 million La Serena-Vallenar link.
