Canadian road improvements

Some US$264.5 million (C$278 million) is being budgeted for upgrading road links in the Bas-Saint-Laurent area of Quebec Province, Canada.

Some US$264.5 million (C$278 million) is being budgeted for upgrading road links in the Bas-Saint-Laurent area of Quebec Province, Canada. The improvements will be carried out in 2010-2011 and the investment will allow 129 separate projects to go ahead. In all some 3,532 jobs are also expected to benefit from the work. Meanwhile US$136 million (C$141 million) will be spent by 1521 Quebec's Ministry of Transport on repairing and rebuilding roads in the Gaspésie and Îles-de-la-Madeleine regions of the Province.
