1194 Vögele is extending its range of service and training options for users with the introduction of a new app and web facility. This is said to allow paving crews to get to grips with the ErgoPlus 3 operating concept quickly and easily with the aid of numerous animations.

The tool allows users to learn how to position and adjust the screed, as well as retrieve paving programmes. Using the system allows operators to achieve optimum paving results and efficient job site processes, according to the firm. The system tells paver operators when to use which operating functions, as well as which automatic functions will make the work simpler and faster.

The app and its associated web portal are designed for use with the ErgoPlus 3 operating concept. All the functions of the paver operator's and the screed operator's consoles are conveyed using short animations. Meanwhile, step-by-step videos give users a demonstration of work steps such as setting up the screed or varying pave widths, as well as the automatic functions. Users can access the app at any time on a PC, tablet or smartphone whether on the job site, in the office or from home. This allows users to fully utilise the information in their work. The free app can be downloaded from the Google Play (www.voegele.info/ergoplus_android) or Apple (www.voegele.info/ergoplus_ios) stores and the web special can be viewed at www.voegele.info/webspecial/ergoplus/.

The firm says it has developed the app with a focus on practicality and clear visualisation. Instead of delving through operating instructions, users can now simply watch the corresponding video. This is said to help to eliminate errors while improving paving results and sequences.

Increased demand for roller compacted concrete (RCC) machines in certain applications mean that this is now a growing market, with manufacturers having developed new machines for this sector. RCC comprises uncrushed and/or crushed aggregate, hydraulic binders and may also contain concrete additives. It is mixed in a concrete mixing plant on or near the job site and one of its main benefits
