Power comes from a six-cylinder 196 Cummins diesel that meets the Tier 4 Final emissions requirements. The machine has a 34kW onboard generator which is sufficient to power the electrically heated screed, as well as extra lighting for night working and other equipment.

Good visibility is claimed due to the swing out seating for the dual platform system, which allows the operator a clear view of the screed from either side during paving work. The dual operator panels are said to be ergonomic, with large screens and intuitive control layouts, allowing quick adjustments to settings even while the machine is in use. Key features include the systems allowing the operator to control mat thickness and quality.

The novel Dynapac feed system meanwhile optimises material supply, while eliminating the problems of material segregation seen with some earlier generation pavers. This benefits from four sensors that detect material height and allow the machine to automatically optimise auger and conveyor speed. The machine can also be fitted with an optional hydraulic tunnel if required that eliminates material spillage to the track.

The proven 2599 Carlson screed allows paving widths of 2.44-5.8m and paving thickness of up to 305mm. The firm offers safety edges, berm attachments and bolt-on extensions.

The machine is said to require minimal maintenance while offering maximum uptime. The operator is given information on upcoming service needs using the screen on the control panel while the paver also has sophisticated diagnostics capabilities to ease servicing and further cut downtime.
