Faster repairs

The product has now been well-proven and is winning customers in the UK, such as Wiltshire County Council. Viafix is said to conform to customer needs for reduced repair costs and increased efficiency can cope with both wet and cold conditions and can be used in an array of rural and urban applications, whether traffic loads are heavy or light.

3476 Viatec says that the latest version of its Viafix instant cold road repair material offers speedy and reliable pothole repairs. The product has now been well-proven and is winning customers in the UK, such as Wiltshire County Council. Viafix is said to conform to customer needs for reduced repair costs and increased efficiency can cope with both wet and cold conditions and can be used in an array of rural and urban applications, whether traffic loads are heavy or light.

This product is cheaper to use than conventional repair methods that rely on larger crews and materials being supplied in a hotbox according to Viatec. Before Viafix was introduced in Wiltshire, the roadmenders were laying, on average, 1.35tonnes of hot material/day. Once Viafix was introduced this increased to 3.5tonnes/day, representing an almost 60% reduction in cost/tonne of material. In addition, transport costs were reduced as fewer trips to the larger sites were required, while wastage costs of were also reduced.
