Atlas Copco has launched its LP6505 walk-behind duplex roller with a flip-up hood to make service access easy, including battery charging. Manual brakes on the LP6500 model have been replaced with automatic hydraulic brakes on the LP6505. When pressure goes down, the roller brakes automatically. If pressure goes up, the brakes are released.

The LP6505 is also equipped with scrapers to avoid material sticking on the drums.

Kjell Helgesson, application specialist for 161 Atlas Copco’s light compaction products said the machine remains fully hydraulic, for both vibration and travelling. “We are also using our new hydraulic oil cooler so we can control temperature in hot environment,” he said.

This cooling reduces wear on components and battery lifetime increases. Also, polymer items such as seals and rubber retain their function which prevents the machine from leaking.

”The operator also has easy access to throttle control, electrical starting box, water control. And we have the same low vibrations values as on the LP6500,” said Helgesson.

Atlas Copco, founded in 1873, is based in Stockholm, Sweden. The group’s Atlas Copco Construction Tools lies within Atlas Copco´s Construction Technique business area, based in Essen, Germany, and it has production units in Europe, India and Asia.

MOBA is introducing a sophisticated compaction control package. The innovative MCA-500 machine control system is designed for use with compactors and can be used in both earthmoving and road construction applications. The system allows the compactor operator to monitor progress in real-time on the display. The driver can see key information during the compaction process, such as the intelligent compaction value (ICV), vibration frequency and amplitude. This ensures that over- and under-compaction can be

Ensuring efficient cone crusher operation can deliver major economies of scale for quarrying facilities There are a number of ways in which cone crusher throughput can be optimised. One of the key issues is in keeping the system choke fed during operation, as this maximises the effectiveness of rock-on-rock crushing, extends the wear life of manganese components and ensures a quality product shape. A lack of feed causes inconstant loading, which affects the long-term life of internal components.

The WEDA 04S is the latest addition to the Atlas Copco Portable Energy line-up of small submersible pumps for the light construction and general equipment rental industries. A 0.4kW on-site sludge/trash pump with a maximum flow of 270lpm and a maximum head of 10.5m, the WEDA 04S complements the WEDA line of under 1kW single-phase drainage, sludge and residual pumps released last year. The new pump model has a cast iron vortex impeller that is able to pump dirty water and handle solids up to 2.5cm in size.
