A new system from MOBA Mobile Automation allows for accurate measurements to be made of pavement thickness. Called PAVE-TM, the system can capture the installation thickness of any road layer during asphalt paving and uses contact-free measurement technology. Layer thickness is a key quality feature in asphalt paving and the PAVE-TM system can help improve process reliability by eliminating errors that occur with manual measurements and also allow savings on materials costs.
