In just under four weeks, on Australia’s Gold Coast, the best minds in the global flexible pavement industry will gather for the Australian Asphalt Pavement Association’s 2015 International Flexible Pavements Conference.

Experts will be presenting the most up-to-date technical information as well as real life examples of applied technology to projects, whether they be roads, tunnels, ports or airports.

“This is a must-attend event for all in road construction and maintenance,” said Michael Caltabiano, chief executive of the AAPA, based in Melbourne. “Record numbers of local pavement experts will be joined by global speakers from the United States, New Zealand, Netherlands, Singapore and France.”

The AAPA 2015 International Flexible Pavements Conference will be held in the Gold Coast Convention Centre from 13-16 September in the coastal town of Broadbeach, south of Brisbane on the Gold Coast, Queensland state.

Delegates will learn about next generation technologies in design, production, equipment and processes which will help you deliver projects on time and on budget, said Caltabiano, who has also been director general of the Transport and Main Roads within the Queensland state government and run his own company, Infrastructure Delivery Australia.

The targeted cyclist was severely bruised from hitting the deck and he needed stitches. But the marauding kangaroo apparently died from its injuries when it slammed into the bike at a right angle.
