Volvo CE and Sandvik Mining and Construction held a series of joint customer equipment demonstartions at Volvo CE's facility in Eskilstuna, Sweden
325 Sandvik Mining and Construction and 2394 Volvo Construction Equipment have jointly held a series of machinery demonstrations and customer events in Sweden.
The events were run at Volvo CE’s facility in Eskilstuna and were intended to demonstrate how Sandvik drilling, crushing and screening equipment can operate efficiently alongside 359 Volvo CE excavators, wheeled loaders, articulated haulers and road building equipment. In addition, Sandvik also launched new products including two new breakers. Called Rock to Road, the customer event showed how equipment from the two firms can provide a productive and efficient solution for quarrying and road building. The focus was on the needs of customers in the aggregates and road building segments.
The Sandvik equipment displayed was split into two distinct offerings: Rock to Road and Demolition to Road. The Sandvik equipment being shown for the quarry sector included a DC302 drill rig, DX780 drill rig, UJ440E tracked jaw crusher, UH640 tracked cone crusher, QA450 tracked triple deck screener, QE440 tracked scalping screener and BR4099 breaker. Sandvik machines on show for the demolition and road sectors included a BC2019 multiprocessor, BR2577 breaker, BR2155 breaker, BG2010 sort bucket and QI240 tracked impact crusher. Customers were able to see how Volvo excavators can work with Sandvik breakers or can be used to load Sandvik crushers, while raw and processed materials were hauled using Volvo ADTs.
While demonstrations of the latest machinery from the Sandvik and Volvo CE product ranges were the most visible portion of the event, the firms also placed a major emphasis on aftermarket developments. Customers were presented with opportunities to discuss their parts and service requirements at first hand.
