There was strong attendance at the first day of the 2730 BICES 1025 construction equipment exhibition in Chinese capital Beijing on the 22nd of September. Muggy weather and heavy traffic congestion failed to dissuade a large number of attendees visiting the show, located at the new exhibition centre close to Beijing Airport. For those opting to travel to the event by public transport, the proximity of the trade fair centre to the metro system made journeys highly convenient.

A wide array of Chinese manufacturers had unveiled their latest products at the show, with both 269 LiuGong and 1171 Shantui launching new models within a short time of the show opening its doors to the public. LiuGong has a large wheeled loader, a large excavator and a crane amongst its new machines.

Meanwhile Shantui has unveiled four novel bulldozers, with its remote controlled dozer taking centre stage. 2490 XCMG showed its latest 2m class milling machine and 162kW gas fuelled loader, though centre stage was taken by its XE75G short tailswing excavator, a class of machine the firm believes will have a major future in China.
1173 Sunward has a new hydraulic hybrid excavator while XGMA’s innovative remote controlled excavator was being demonstrated, although this is still a concept in its development stage. Sinomach showed the first of its new generation excavators, the 30tonne class GE300H while 5316 SDLG was keen to highlight its latest F Series excavators.
