Kazakhstan boosts road repair budget

Kazakhstan is increasing the budget allotted for road repairs in the west of the country. The country’s government plans to allot some US$110 million (ZT 20 billion) for road repairs in West Kazakhstan. This sum will be used to fund repairs from 2014 until 2016.

    Poland’s General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) is planning to spend US$151.37 million (€118.3 million) on winter-specific road maintenance for 2014/15.     Major road and tunnel development plans are being set out in Austria. The country’s road traffic management business, ASFINAG, has set a budget of €1.1 billion for new works to be carried out during 2018. A planned 50% of the budget will be utilised for building new roads or for tunnel works. The remaining 50% will be used to pay for necessary road repairs and maintenance works.
