Hitachi is now offering a range of compaction products for the European market

233 Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe (HCME) is launching a new range of compaction equipment which includes rammers, vibratory plate compactors and rollers. Designed to provide both performance and durability, the new models are said to be easy to operate and maintain.

The ZV-R series rammers feature low-vibration handles and are said to deliver powerful compaction forces as well as manoeuvrability. The ZV-RL and ZV-RLS models are lightweight and feature Pipe Guard engine protection.

The ZV-P vibratory plate compactors are compact and durable, while the ZV-PR reversible vibratory plates offer manoeuvrability and easy maintenance. There are several walk-behind rollers and the ZV-W models have conveniently located levers and switches for easy operation. They can be cleaned quickly using the pull-out sprinkler nozzle and other maintenance jobs can be carried out easily, thanks to the one-touch keyed gull-wing engine cover.

The crushing and screening sector has seen a flurry of new model launches in recent months, with a series of new equipment introductions - Mike Woof writes. Crushing and screening systems play a vital role in the overall cost effectiveness of a quarrying operation. Ensuring that a quarry runs efficiently relies heavily on the appropriateness of the entire crushing and screening set-up for the material input, the output grades and the compatibility of each separate unit. Mobility has been a key issue in rece
