XCMG offers its heavy duty on/off highway truck in both left and right hand drive variants to suit market demand
From 2490 XCMG comes an array of new machines for loading and hauling as well as road construction.

Designed for the domestic market, the LW800K LNG is a 28.5tonne wheeled loader powered by a 257kW 2731 Weichai diesel and using LNG as fuel. Twin 500litre gas tanks sit just behind the cab and the machine is suited to duties in sites where emissions may be an issue. The machine features 2304 ZF axles and a ZF transmission. Standard bucket size is 4.5m3 and it can carry an 8tonne load. This is the latest addition to the firm’s LNG-fuelled loader line-up, with models offering 5tonne and 6tonne bucket loads already in the range.

The NXG565ODTQ is a three axle, rigid haul truck featuring all-wheel-drive and aimed at duties in on/off highway applications. An unusual feature of the machine is that it is available in both left and right hand cab versions, with the model on show destined for a customer in Malaysia after the exhibition closes. Power comes from a 280kW Weichai diesel. Unladen, the truck weighs 25tonnes and it has a 40tonne rated load, giving a GVW of 65tonnes. The truck could actually carry more but as it is intended for use on road as well as for off highway use, the firm says that the payload is limited to 40tonnes.

The firm’s new 37tonne class excavator is the XE370CA, which is powered by a 190.5kW 2724 Isuzu engine that meets Tier 2 requirements for the Chinese market. The company is also offering an export version of the machine, with power from a Tier 3 compliant 196 Cummins diesel with a similar power rating. Buckets of 1.4-1.8m3 are offered and export markets for the machine include Africa, Latin America, the Middle East and South East Asia at present.

The XP303S rubber tyred compactor has a basic weight of 15tonnes, which can be increasesd to 30.3tonnes with the addition of steel ballast. Power comes from a Tier 2 compliant Shangchai diesel delivering 128kW and driving through a hydrostatic system. This is the first rubber tyred compactor XCMG has built with hydrostatic drive and it is said to offer increased operating efficiency with reduced fuel consumption, as well greater productivity than the model being replaced. This first machine is starting field testing with a local customer and is aimed at the higher end of China’s equipment market. When the model has been fully proven on the home market it will be made available for export, although units for overseas sales will be fitted with Cummins diesels.
