Volvo’s articulated haulers are produced in the construction industry’s first manufacturing plant powered entirely by renewable energy.

All of Volvo’s articulated haulers – from the 25tonne A25G to the 50tonne A60H – are produced in Braås, Sweden. In 2014 the factory became the construction equipment industry’s first production facility to be powered entirely by renewable energy.

Aebi, headquartered in Regensdorf, outside Zürich, is offering a carbon offset certificate from the Fair Recycling foundation covering the shipment from Sweden to Switzerland. Also, the machine can be painted entirely in green and will have a 'My hauler is green' decal in German, French or Italian.

Behind every carbon credit certificate issued by Fair Recycling for a Volvo GoGreen articulated hauler will be a recycled refrigerator. Fair Recycling works to combine education with the recycling of refrigerators containing harming CFC greenhouse gases. Each refrigerator recycled under the agreement will recover around 50kg of raw materials and save the equivalent of a tonne of CO2, explained Roger Schenk, business unit leader for construction at Robert Aebi.
