Volvo CE offers the 20tonne class EC210D in Africa and the Middle East

The firm’s new 20tonne class EC200D model is said to offer good fuel consumption and high performance, with the machine aimed at markets such as Russia and the CIS, South Africa and Mauritius.

The new EC210D excavator is designed for customers in Africa and the Middle East (but not Turkey), featuring a robust frame combined with optimised engine power and hydraulic performance.

The firm claims that both machines offer high quality and productivity and suit duties in a wide array of general purpose applications, such as road construction, civils projects and utility work. The firm says that the new models deliver high swing speed, powerful digging forces and fast cycle times. And the latest additions to the D-Series line-up also offer high fuel economy, according to Volvo CE.

The EC200D is said to benefit from an advanced hydraulic system that reduces the loss of flow and pressure, without compromising digging power or swing torque. The hydraulics are said to be well integrated with the Volvo Penta D5 engine, delivering 123kW at 2000rpm. The engine also provides high torque at low rpm to combine performance with fuel efficiency.
