298 Peri’s Variokit heavy-duty truss girder system has been designed specifically for tunnel and bridge construction to reach those hard-to-get places.

The heavy-duty truss girder complements the Variokit heavy-duty shoring tower. Peri took into account the load-bearing capacity of the tower as well as the challenging requirements of everyday construction work.

The high-load modular lattice system can be used for spans up to 40m. With the continuously
adjustable telescopic support frame, all spans can be created with centimetre precision.

In addition, the calotte bearing allows easy adaption to the longitudinal and lateral inclinations of the superstructure. The heavy-duty truss girder can be quickly assembled by means of fitting pins. The optional PERI UP scaffolding in the bottom section provides completely safe working conditions.

It also has greater capacity with values up to 80kN (certified according to EN 16031). Also, connection to truss frames is permitted all along the prop in order to assemble load-bearing towers with high capacity. This prop is made of aluminium type 6005A for a good ca

  • Extra work for Ulma on Ireland’s New Ross extradosed bridge
    September 19, 2019
ULMA has taken part in construction Ireland’s New Ross, the longest extradosed bridge in the world. The €230 million project includes a 14km dual carriageway and a three-tower 900m-long extrados bridge over the Barrow River between Pink Point and Strokestown – to be open in early 2020 – that bypasses the town of New Ross. The extradosed bridge is characterised by its cables set at lower angles, meaning that pylons are shorter in relation to deck span lengths. ULMA was responsible for the transverse s
