255 JCB ATTACHMENTS' new innovative double locking quickhitch, featuring independent locking of the front and rear pins, has been designed for use with tracked excavators including the JS130 through to the JS460 and the wheeled JS130W to the JS200W.

The Dualock, which is compatible with both genuine JCB buckets and JCB scoop buckets, along with the full range of JCB powered attachments, uses the well proven blocking bar system from the BUG coupler to secure the rear pin lock.

The face of the front locking mechanism is painted red and can easily be seen from the cab, ensuring the operator can be confident that the bucket is securely fastened before operating the machine.

The Dualock (and the previous BUG coupler) are the only hydraulically operated excavator quickhitches that have been approved by JCB to be fully compatible with JCB machines.

"By incorporating this innovative double independent locking mechanism, we have produced a hitch with additional safety features which provides levels of security well in excess of those required by current standards," says Paul Hartshorn, director and general manager of JCB Attachments.

JCB's current LiveLink Advanced and LiveLink Advanced Plus systems are designed for use in JCB heavy excavators of 13tonnes and above and in wheeled loading shovels from the JCB 426 through to the JCB 456 and integrated within the machine control ECU.

Now, to provide engine and hydraulic data as well as location monitoring for compact equipment the company is launching LiveLink Lite, which is specially designed to work with machines that do not have such sophisticated electronic control systems.

It provides machine location, machine hours monitoring and reporting, and e-mailed service alerts as the machine nears its scheduled maintenance time. In addition the system offers real-time geofencing, with curfew and tow-away alerts included in the package.

As well as offering enhanced machine security, with potentially lower insurance premiums thanks to the increased chance of theft recovery, LiveLink Lite provides customers with increased fleet operating knowledge, says JCB.

LiveLink Lite can also be retrofitted to older JCB machinery and to other makes of equipment in the fleet.
