Doosan has won orders for 12 new DA30 articulated dump trucks (ADTs) from Ploegam B.V., a civil engineering contractor based in Vinkel in the Netherlands.

Supplied by Lieshout-based S.J. Staadegaard & Zonen B.V., the first six of the new ADTs were ordered for work on a project won by a joint venture of Ploegam and the Van den Biggelaar Group.  The other six machines were ordered separately for work on another project subsequently won by Ploegam in Lent.  As a result, nine of the trucks have been delivered in Ploegam colours, while the other three bear the colours of Van den Biggelaar.

Ploegam is a family run business established in 1987, headed up by brothers, Chris and Gijs Ploegmakers and their sister, Yvonne.  The company provides high quality civil engineering services for earthmoving, landscaping, road and water projects.

The decision in favour of the 695 Doosan range was confirmed by the results of several weeks of tests on a Doosan DA30 dump truck on a local job site.

The DA30 truck is powered by what Doosan describe as a clean and powerful 759 Scania engine with SCR technology, combined with the latest state-of-the-art ZF EP8 gear transmission to reduce fuel consumption.
