Caterpillar’s new wheeled loaders offer extra capabilities
178 Caterpillar claims increased performance and capabilities for its latest Series small wheeled loaders. These machines, the 926M, 930M and 938M, are Tier 4 Final/ Stage IV compliant.

Meanwhile the firm has also upgraded its K Series models, the 924K, 930K and 938K. All of these units benefit from standard and optional features that are claimed to boost productivity, improve operating ease and increase uptime reliability.

A new secondary display module option for all models improves operation, while the machines also have the latest Caterpillar Payload Management tool. This can tell the operator that there is sufficient weight in the bucket before leaving the pile, increasing productivity. It allows the operator to set target loading weight and monitor the amount of material loaded into a truck or hopper. It also allows the operator to print up to three copies of a recorded weight ticket, while it can be connected to the VisionLink system to track important information such as the amount of material moved and number of trucks loaded.

The M Series SWL machines are powered by the Cat C7.1 ACERT engine with clean emissions module and also offer 5-10% fuel savings. Power outputs are 106kW, 116kW and 126kW for the 926M, 930M and 938M while the machines weigh in at 13tonnes, 14tonnes, and 16.4tonnes and well as having buckets of 2.1m3, 2.3m3 and 2.7m3 respectively.
