Caterpillar has introduced three wheeled loaders for Chinese and emergent territory customers, with the 950 GC, 980L, and 982M models. Also new are the Next Generation 320 and 323 excavators, which benefit from a Smart Mode that automatically matches engine and hydraulic power to specific digging conditions, and an advanced hydraulic system designed to balance power and efficiency with precise control. A standard grade-control system, Cat GRADE with 2D, includes both indicate-only and laser capability, and an available suite of Cat Connect Technologies is designed to increase operator efficiency, reduce operator fatigue, and reduce operating costs. Also wearing the Caterpillar badge for emergent territories is the new

140 GC grader. The grader features a new, ergonomically designed cab with an adjustable control console, and it offers a 10% reduction in fuel consumption when the new ECO Mode is used.

Meanwhile, the SEM line has also been widened and now includes new wheeled loader, grader and soil compactor models for certain emergent territories. The new SEM 680D wheeled loader features transmission with electronic clutch proportional control valve with single clutch speed shift strategy to provide higher shift quality. The upgraded 822D dozer has now been upgraded and features power from a 162kW diesel and an electronically controlled hydrostatic drive. In addition, the firm has the new MG918 grader, which offers a loading sensing hydraulic system, as well as easy operation and low fuel consumption. And also new is the SCOM522 soil compactor, which features a pod-style eccentric design that is said to extend system life by 50% and reduce maintenance costs.
