Optronics 360 is said to be the world’s first 360° surround view camera system for mining, quarrying and construction industry vehicles.

The ASL Electronics & Vision product was launched at the 5894 Hillhead 2012 event in central England by its UK distributors 6413 Spillard Safety Systems and 6414 TDL Equipment. It is said to have been already proven, under the name ASL 360, in the high end passenger car market.

One claimed key advantage of Optronics 360 over less advanced alternatives is that instead of the view being limited to a short fixed distance from the machine or vehicle, it can be programmed from horizon to horizon as well as forward and rear.
