Work commencing on Vietnam’s key road building project

Work is starting on a section of the road that will connect Son La and Cam Lo in Vietnam.

This new section of road will form a stretch of Vietnam’s North-South expressway project. Building this particular stretch of road is expected to cost nearly US$326 million, with the Vietnamese Government having sourced the necessary funding for the work.

    A series of major highway and road projects have been proposed for Vietnam. Investors have submitted a proposal to build North-South road costing an estimated US$383.8 million. Another proposal has come from the Project Management Board 85 to develop Bien Hoa-Tan Thanh-Cai Mep Seaport expressway, with an estimated cost of $591.5 million.
