Wacker Neuson celebrates 175th anniversary with customer event

Wacker Neuson is celebrating its 175th anniversary and recently invited customers and dealers from the EMEA region to its site in Reichertshofen. The four-day event allowed face-to-face meetings and focussed on the innovative solutions that have revolutionised construction work since Johann Christian Wacker founded his blacksmith’s shop in 1848.

Alexander Greschner, CSO of the Wacker Neuson Group said that the event helped bring the firm closer to customers and sales partners, emphasising the importance of customer feedback when testing new products.

One of the innovations starring at Wacker Neuson Universe was the new DV45 Dual View dumper, the smallest model in its range. It features an innovative Dual View concept, where the operating console can be rotated through 180° so the operator always has a clear view in the direction of travel or work. The firm also highlighted its zero emissions range including the TH412e, Wacker Neuson’s first fully electric telescopic loader. Its compact design means it can be used in confined spaces without releasing any local emissions.

Wacker Neuson’s production and development site has been located in Reichertshofen since 1964. In 2018, Wacker Neuson opened a European training center at the site and in fall 2022, a new logistics centre was added to streamline distribution logistics and accelerate warehouse turnaround times.

Wacker Neuson has unveiled its first dual-power mini excavator, based on the 803. As well as the machine’s standard diesel engine, an external electro-hydraulic drive can be attached to the excavator through a plug-and-play connector in the undercarriage, leaving the upperstructure with full 360 degree rotation. This makes the machine ideal for use in emission-free applications like internal demolition work.
