Tunnel project in Poland

Spanish contractor OHL and Polish company Hydrobudowa are now working as a consortium on plans for a new tunnel project in Poland.

RSSSpanish contractor OHL and Polish company 3206 Hydrobudowa are now working as a consortium on plans for a new tunnel project in Poland. The project involves the construction of a new road tunnel in the city of Gdansk and, including road connections, is worth some €172.05 million. To carry out the work the consortium is ordering a new tunnel boring machine (TBM) from German supplier Herrenknecht, worth €20.80 million. Included in the TBM order is sand separation equipment, with this machinery scheduled for delivery by September 2012 at the latest.
