The order for Shantui to Zambia includes a large number of bulldozers
As a result of the agreement 1171 Shantui will now supply the organisation with over USD$4 million worth of equipment. Consisting of 240kW SD32 bulldozers and 20tonne class SE210 excavators, the machines will be used as part of a programme employing youths to develop infrastructure throughout the country.

The machines were successfully shipped from the Port of Tianjin in late February 2015. The negotiations were conducted by a joint effort between Shantui and AVIC International, a team which was also responsible for several sales in Sub-Saharan Africa last year.

Combined with the sale last year to the Kenya National Youth Service, this shipment is indicative of Shantui’s growing strength in Africa. Shantui says that the good value for money of its products, combined with its wide range of models customised for the local market, have led to an increased demand for the brand. And as Africa’s economy continues to grow, Shantui believes that demand is sure to grow.
