New links will provide better transport connections between Thailand and Laos.

New links will provide better transport connections between Thailand and Laos. Two bridges are being built over the Mekong River, one of which will start in Bung Kan province in Thailand and another will start in Nong Khai in Thailand. However environmental issues have resulted in the authorities in Thailand looking for a new site for the 300m bridge between Bung Kan and Paksan City in Laos.
