South Africa's new coastal road

Approval has been won by the South African National Roads Agency for construction of the planned N2 Wild Coast toll road project.

Approval has been won by the 3156 South African National Road Agency for construction of the planned N2 Wild Coast toll road project. This 560km road will link the Isipingo and Gonubie interchanges and requires the construction of nine new bridges, toll plazas, upgrades to intersections and interchanges and widening and improving existing roads. The road will run along the country's eastern coast and will connect Butterworth, Lusikisiki, Port Edward, Port Shepstone, Durban, Mthatha, East London, Ndwalane and Idutywa.
