Bidding is strong for the 30 year concession deal covering the Goethals Bridge linking New York and New Jersey. The contract will include financing, construction and management of the bridge and changes to the road alignment in a deal worth US$1.3 billion.

RSSBidding is strong for the 30 year concession deal covering the Goethals Bridge linking New York and New Jersey. The contract will include financing, construction and management of the bridge and changes to the road alignment in a deal worth US$1.3 billion. The bids are being evaluated by the 2422 Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Interest is strong, partly because this tolled link carries some 30 million vehicles/year. Firms tendering include the NYNJ Link Partnership (comprising 981 Hochtief, Kiewit, 2378 Macquarie, 1374 Parsons Transportation Group and 1375 Weeks Marine); China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), 2296 Skanska of Sweden and IHI of Japan. 4914 FCC is submitting a bid with 1377 Globalvia while 917 ACS is in partnership with 1378 John Laing. 976 Acciona joined Tutor Perini and 2516 Bilfinger and Berger while 980 OHL is in parternship with 1380 Judlau Contracting and 5177 Vinci of France
