Traffic managers can control their variable message signs with greater flexibility and speed thanks to an app from Bartco UK and its sister company MVIS.

BartcoLive enables users of Bartco UK VMS to create messages remotely via Apple and Android smartphones, tablets and laptops, accessing the chief sign-management operating platform, Web Studio.

In addition to message creation, BartcoLive offers secure login, a searchable list of assets, details regarding the status of each asset as well as its location on the map, and directions and a list and search facility for files.

The app was created in Australia by sister company Bartco Traffic Equipment to improve the efficiency of the VMS ITS solutions for Apple and Android users provided by Bartco UK and MVIS.

It’s all about flexibility and speed leading to greater efficiencies, explained Dolly Shah, Bartco Traffic Equipment’s R&D project manager and chief developer of the app.

Bartco UK’s and MVIS’ product range comprises Bartco mobile VMS, ROTTMS, Solar IP multiple use trailer platforms and sign management systems.  It also includes portable CCTV and radar.
