Italian firm TowerLight has launched a new mobile security system for the surveillance, CCTV and security markets.

Unveiled at last month’s IFSEC International security exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham, England, the TL Security Tower can accommodate CCTV cameras, Wi Fi systems, surveillance monitoring, infra-red detectors, evidence quality video equipment and public address loudspeakers.

Entirely self-contained, the Tower’s power is provided from a series of batteries combined with a built-in generator and an extended fuel tank for continuous use. Its hydraulically operated galvanised mast is wind tested to 110KM/H wind stability and extends to a maximum height of 5metres. The mast is hand rotated through 340º for maximum visibility.

Stability is said to be secured via four adjustable outriggers, with two of the stabilisers fitted with additional shock absorbing capabilities.

Designed to suit a variety of applications, the TL Security Tower is fitted with a 48cm extractable rack module to accommodate up to eight units. The complete unit is fitted onto a site tow trailer with a central lifting eye for safe loading and unloading.

TowerLight says the Tower is ideally suited for webcam and remote viewing, lock monitoring, fire alarm operation and traffic monitoring on construction sites, storage areas, and in rail or port environments.

“We began designing the TL Security Tower following requests from the security industry to have a mobile surveillance system that would operate remotely from mains power,” says Paul Hay, TowerLight’s UK director.

“The TL Security Tower is particularly useful to help prevent metal theft which is already a major problem in most towns and cities. We anticipate considerable growth in our security systems.”
