Parsons to design traffic management system for Florida’s I-95

Florida’s Department of Transportation has selected Parsons to provide final design services for an expansion of a traffic management system on the I-95.

Florida’s Department of Transportation has selected 3220 Parsons to provide final design services for an expansion of a traffic management system on the I-95.

The 27km project, from north of Jacksonville International Airport to the Georgia state line, will involve intelligent transportation systems and solutions. Included are archived data management, automatic vehicle identification, closed-circuit television cameras, dynamic message signs, microwave vehicle detection and road weather information.

Parsons will be responsible for designing the communications backbone for the traffic management system, as well as identifying and designing the individual devices required to fully cover the corridor.
