1092 US Architectural Lighting says that its new Galaxy Series now offers customers over 100 different street lighting options. The designs are modular, allowing key components to be interchanged so that customers can design lighting for their own specific purpose. The Galaxy line now features 13 models with varied heights and widths, depending on site requirements. Options include interchangeable hoods and diffusers in multiple sizes and designs, along with novel mounting arms in arch, deco, yoke, post top and swooped styling. The luminaires are available in seven light distribution patterns with either horizontal or vertical lamps, ranging from 70- 400W. The specular segmented reflectors produce sharp cut-off light patterns when using horizontal lamps, or wide-angle light distribution when using vertical lamps, while the lights can be wall or pole-mounted, singly or in clusters up to four fixtures. All models feature Accuhinge, tool-less access to the lamp and reflector compartment. Quick disconnect plugs allow fast removal of the ballast and reflector assemblies during routine maintenance. The fixtures are made from corrosion-resistant aluminum, while a one-piece die-formed aluminum door frame surrounds the lens.
