1315 Intercomp says its weigh-in-motion LS630-WIM system is ideal for high traffic volumes at temporary facilities to monitor axle weight or GVW (gross vehicle weight) compliance.

Additionally, the portable system can be used at multiple locations as two people can deploy or stow the scale pads, ramps/levellers and output CPU in less than 15 minutes. This makes the dynamic weighing system ideal for avoiding undesirable traffic backups due to weight verification operations.

Two scale pads, four roll-up ramps/levelers and dedicated PT20 WIM CPU, or PC, can fit in the trunk of most full-sized vehicles.

The ramps/levellers keep adjacent axles on plane for optimal results. The system accumulates up to 36 individual axles for gross vehicle weight. It also switches to static mode easily.

The system is designed to deliver a smooth and even asphalt surface, by ensuring that the height and slope of the screed on the paver is accurately maintained. This is particularly important when the machine is moving in the vertical plane due to uneven ground or sub base conditions. Achieving smoothness is important to the paving contractor.
