Spain’s capital city, Madrid, has awarded 3344 Telvent GIT a contract to manage, operate and maintain two of the three most important zones of the capital's traffic light network, involving over 1,600 traffic-light intersections. The management and control scope of the contract encompasses operation of all systems and the integration of the entire range of equipment into the municipal SICTRAM (comprehensive traffic control system of Madrid, in its Spanish acronym) system, as well as the treatment of information for improving pedestrian and vehicle traffic mobility in Madrid, contributing to the enhancement of citizens' quality of life in the capital city.
