Qumak-Sekom wins tender to build traffic management system

Qumak-Sekom, the Polish IT integrator, has made the lowest bid (US$39.57 million) in a tender to build an integrated traffic management system for Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot (the so-called TriCity).

5281 Qumak-Sekom, the Polish IT integrator, has made the lowest bid (US$39.57 million) in a tender to build an integrated traffic management system for Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot (the so-called TriCity). If no appeals are submitted by other bidders (Asseco Poland, UTI Polska, a consortium of 5278 Atrem and 5279 PBG, a consortium of Alcatel, 5264 Indra and Mirabel Investments, and a consortia of 5280 Wasko and Gertrude) in the next ten days, Qumak-Sekom will be able to sign a contract.

    A series of major road projects is now getting underway in Poland, while tenders for new projects are also opening. Estimates suggest that the construction of six new ring-roads in the Opolszczyzna region will cost some €356 million. These ring roads all form part of the 2014-2023 National Road Construction Programme. The first projects to be carried out will be for the ring-roads around Mysliny and Niemodlina.     Poland’s road authority GDDKiA said that five groups have tendered for construction of a 17.5km section of the S61 Expressway. The section runs from Podborze junction to Sniadowo junction and all bids fall within the investor's budget of around €146 million.
