Philippines expressway stretch opening

A key stretch of a new expressway in the Philippines is opening shortly.

A stretch of the new expressway connecting Tarlac with La Union via Pangasinan will open shortly in the Philippines. The 11km stretch of the route should open on 15th July.

In all, the expressway connecting Tarlac with La Union will run for just over 88km. Opening this new route will reduce journey times considerably. At present driving between the two takes three hours. Once the expressway opens, the journey time will be just one hour.

    Tenders for two expressway projects in Thailand will open by mid-2018. The projects are worth around US$1.5 billion in all. The tender process is being handled by the Expressway Authority of Thailand (Exat).
