A key new road project is being planned in Indonesia.

A key new road project is being planned in Indonesia. The project is for a 39km toll road linking Pemalang with Batang and construction work is expected to commence in mid 2012. The finance structure for the Pemalang-Batang toll road project is still being established however. In addition to this project Indonesia;s Toll Road Authority is planning the 25km Cimanngis-Cibitung toll road and 57.5km Pejagan-Pemalang toll roads at present.

    Two major road projects are planned for Poland. Spanish construction firm Dragados intends to start work building a 25km ring road around the Polish city of Radom in the second half of 2016. The road will cost over €171.67 million to construct and will be completed in 2018. The work includes building four bridges, four junctions and two pedestrian bridges. The Ministry of Public Works has detailed its strategic programme for Papua which includes the development of 11 roads totalling 37,499km in all. The 11 national and provincial roads include new links from Timika - Potowaiburu - Enarotali; Wamena- Habema - Kenyam; Depapre - Bonggrang; Ring Road Jayapura - Sentani; Serui - Menawi - Saubeba; Nabire - Wagete - Enarotali; Timika - mapurajaya - Pomako

  • New Vietnam link road gets go ahead

    A key link road in Vietnam has been given the go ahead. The plan is for a new road to run from the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Highway to Sapa District. The construction project has been authorised by the People's Committee of Lao Cai Province in Vietnam. The 27km link road will be challenging to construct however as it will run through some of the country’s mountainous areas. The project will include building five viaducts and four flyovers crossing streams. The project is expected to cost close to US$115 million. T
