A key highway upgrade will improve links between Chinese capital Beijing and Tibet.

A key highway upgrade will improve links between Chinese capital Beijing and Tibet. A 217km stretch of the Beijing-Hohhot expressway will be upgraded and improved in a bid to reduce traffic congestion. The Beijing-Hohhot expressway features three lanes running in either direction and forms is part of the Beijing-Xinjiang Expressway.

  • Uganda’s new highway project revealed

    Plans are being drawn up in Uganda for the upgrading of the Busega-Mpigi highway stretch. Funding worth US$151 million to help pay for the project is being sought from the African Development Bank (AfDB), which is being delivered in the shape of a loan.
