259 Kapsch Group has signalled major expansion in Romania with the opening of a new, larger branch office, plans to increase the number of employees, and estimated incomes of more than US$20million by 2015.

“In recent years, we have been able to successfully implement the growth strategy of the Kapsch Group. With Kapsch Business Com in particular, we have created the foundation with numerous acquisitions for supporting our customers in strategy and implementation to the best of our abilities. The expansion in the growth market of Romania solidifies our position in Eastern Europe and underscores our leading role as an ICT service partner”, explains Kari Kapsch, the Group’s COO.

The new office will not only function as a regional business office of Kapsch BusinessCom, it is simultaneously also a central interface for the other subsidiaries of the Kapsch Group in Romania. Kapsch CarrierCom has already been integrated as a partner for the implementation of local projects in the fields of digital train radio (GSM-R) and the modernisation of the railway networks over the course of multiple tenders. Meanwhile, Kapsch TrafficCom will use the office in order to be able to react actively to local requirements for the development of road infrastructure.
