Indonesian project on track

Plans are now well on track for Indonesia’s new Medan-Kualanamu toll road project.

Plans are now well on track for Indonesia’s new Medan-Kualanamu toll road project. The road is expected to cost US$203 million and the land acquisition process required for the project is already 40% completed. Indonesia’s Ministry of Public Works intends for work on the project to commence shortly.

    Plans are moving forward in Indonesia for the development of a major new tolled highway project. Jakarta Tollroad Development is at present working on purchasing the land required for a key section of the toll road. The new route will run from Sunter in North Jakarta to Semanan in West Jakarta.     Work on Indonesia’s new Kartasura-Kebakkramat toll road is due for completion in 2014. The Public Works Ministry expects to complete the land acquisition process during this year. The budget for the project has not been disclosed so far. When it is complete, the 22km toll road project will connect with the Kertosono (East Java)-Surakarta (Central Java) toll road.
