Only two firms have submitted bids for the project to build six inner toll roads in Indonesia's capital, Jakarta. The US$4.4 billion project is expected to be developed in four phases. The 68km toll road project is thought to have generated less interest among bidders because of its high investment costs.

Only two firms have submitted bids for the project to build six inner toll roads in Indonesia's capital, Jakarta. The US$4.4 billion project is expected to be developed in four phases. The 68km toll road project is thought to have generated less interest among bidders because of its high investment costs. Indian firm Wellspon from India and the Jakarta Tollroad Development consortium have submitted bids. The consortium is comprised of a number of parties including 5204 Pembangunan Perumahan, 5205 Adhi Karya, 5206 Hutama Karya, 5207 Wijaya Karya and 4911 Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada.

    Three firms are to carry out construction work on a 98.5km road upgrade project in Indonesia. The project is expected to cost around US$606 million and involves upgrading the north-south route connecting Parapat, Pematang Siantar and Tebing Tinggi in North Sumatra. The project will be headed by Hutama Karya, with Waskita Karya and Jasa Marga also being involved in the road construction work.     Toll road operator Jasa Marga of Indonesia has added four contracts at a cost of nearly US$2.4 billion to its highway concession portfolio. Jasa Marga hold equity of between 55% and 65% in each project, according to a report by the Jakarta Post newspaper.
