The tender process for two key toll roads in Indonesia is opening, subject to land clearance agreements being settled.

The tender process for two key toll roads in Indonesia is opening, subject to land clearance agreements being settled. The 54km Ciawi-Sukabumi toll road project will be worth some US$577.7 million while the 57.5km Pejagan-Pemalang toll road project will be worth $649.6 million. Construction work is planned to commence in April 2012 on both projects, with completion due in late 2013 and the roads being opened to traffic in early 2014.

    Key road construction projects are now moving forward in Bosnia with work on-track for the Sarajevo ringroad as well as the Corridor Vc highway. Construction of a 130km section of the Corridor Vc highway should be complete by 2014 according to Bosnia's Ministry of Transport and Telecoms.     The Department of Transport is planning to improve traffic flow in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City, in a bid to reduce congestion and delays. Some 18 major road projects are due to commence in the city in 2011. In total the 18 road projects will be worth close to US$600 million. The contractors carrying out the work have not been revealed at this stage. Some obstacles to a number of the projects exist however with financing and land clearance issues expected to provide some hurdles.
