In collaboration with Systems Metric Group, 2698 Delcan has been awarded a contract to develop and implement a regional freeway service patrol (1604 FSP) programme for the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority (5363 MTA).

The company is tasked with developing comprehensive and detailed documents necessary to implement, operate and manage MTA’s 156 vehicle FSP programme, the largest in the US, as it transitions 39 beats into six regions. Top priorities for this project include improvement to contract and management operations, revisions to the violation and penalty structure and reviewing the program for Quick Clearance policies.

When asked why Delcan’s Emergency Transportation Operations (ETO) Division was selected, the Project Steering Committee, which includes representatives from the 5364 California Highway Patrol, MTA and 5246 Caltrans, all agreed that Delcan’s team is the only consulting team out there with “experienced, hands-on operations experts” to move a programme this size into the next generation, a regionalised approach. Delcan’s ETO team is staffed with nationally recognised law enforcement, FSP, EMT, Fire, 3278 ITS transportation and engineering experts.
