Danish police plan US$35.39 million speed camera project

The Danish National Police force is planning to invest in a new IT-project which involves the roll out of 200 speed cameras along roads throughout Denmark.

The Danish National Police force is planning to invest in a new IT-project which involves the roll out of 200 speed cameras along roads throughout Denmark. Along with integration of the new system with existing IT-systems, the deployment will cost an estimated US$35.39 million. The aim of the project is to reduce the number of traffic deaths. The new speed cameras are also forecast to generate more revenues from traffic fines.
