Czech republic starts planning for winter maintenance

The Czech republic’s Transport Ministry said spend close to €310 million for maintenance and winter gritting of class I roads. Winners of the tenders for 14 regional authorities should start their eight-year road maintenance contracts on 1 May 2017, according to media reports.

    The Polish road and motorways authority GDDKiA plans to award a series of maintenance contracts to private operators up to the end of 2017. An additional €482.23 million will be allocated through outsourcing during the period.
